How does hypnotherapy for chronic fatigue work?
Here’s an example. We sit and have a conversation. I will ask you questions which will elicit a trance-like response and allow you to build a bridge between your conscious and unconscious mind.
I have seen clients deep in trance for well over an hour, talking in abstract terms which don’t resemble conscious reasoning about things like their emotions, their families, and their regrets.
Fatigue is just a symptom of pressure created by your unconscious mind, keeping your nervous system in a perpetual state of fight or flight.
When your body is always preparing to run or fight for its life – it gets exhausted.
On top of that, the fatigue response can be generated by your mind to keep you safe in the face of such overwhelming unconscious stress, much in the same way as your body keeps you in bed when you have flu.
This can apply even if your everyday demeanour is relatively calm and collected. Unconsciously, you can be full of rage, regret of sadness.
Maybe this even shows itself to you when your energy levels are down.
